It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vonnie Beth Hill of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, P. C. Brown and Mattie Belle Daniel Brown; her former husband Bascom William Baine, Sr.; her husband Elbert "Red" Hill; and her daughter Kaye Baine Gibbs.
She is survived by: her children, Bascom W. Baine, Jr. (Lois) of Winston-Salem, Mitchell Baine (Sharon) of Kernersville and Deborah Baine-Woodard (Dean) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Tovia Baine of Winston-Salem, Lee Lingerfelt of Winston-Salem, Bascom William Baine, III (Nicole) of Winston-Salem, Jonathan Baine (Jill) of Jackson, TN, Brandon Baine (Amber) of Walnut Cove, Haley Baine Clark (Chris) of Lexington, Tiffany Killebrew (Zack) of Kernersville, Scott Banks (Elizabeth) of West Jefferson and Trevor Banks of Kernersville; and her sister Frances Drew of Marion, SC.. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
