He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Hill and Henry Hill. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy McDevett Hill of Durham, NC; his children, William Scott Hill of Lake Norman, NC and Molly Hill Pertillo (Louis) of Winston-Salem, NC; his granddaughter Ashley Mae Tate (Brandon) of Knightdale, NC; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Mae Tate, Collins Grace Tate and Caroline Scott Tate; and his nieces, Beverly Kennedy Smith and Susan Kennedy Turnage.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Presbyterian Church (2380 Cloverdale Ave NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
Memorials may be made to either the NCSU Alumni Association or Highland Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
