He is survived by: his husband Ted Burcaw of Sparta, NC; his former wife Laura Piner of Winston-Salem; his sons, Stockton Piner (Erica) of Winston-Salem, Laurance Piner (Alex) of Chicago, IL and Tucker Piner (Corinne) of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Lillian, Holden, Hallie and Liam; his stepdaughters, Katelyn Forero (Matt) of Westlake Village, CA, Sara Cave (Andrew) of Quakertown, PA and Rebecca Johnson (Duane) of Moji, Brazil; his stepgrandchildren, Piper, Naomi, Shiloh and Remy; and his sisters, Molly Sharpe (GH) of Apex, NC and Lucy Piner (Beverly) of Hillsborough, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
