It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Gene Langley of Winterville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Langley and Dorothy Stocks Langley; and his siblings, Shirley Langley, Jack Langley, James Langley, Wayne Langley and Elaine Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Faye Langley; his daughters, Kim Langley, Cynthia Wadford (Alton) and Leigh Cobb (Randy); his grandchildren, Alex Wadford (Mary Beth), Andrew Wadford (Amanda), Ginny Langley, Noah Cobb and Jonah Cobb; his great grandchildren, Cambree, Bryson, Lindley Wadford, Anderson, Adaline and Avery Wadford; and his siblings, Floyd Langley (Joyce), Ken Langley (Jackie), Rick Langley (Angie), Sheryl Gardner (Keith), Charlie Langley (Frankie) and Mike Langley.
