He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Greene and Daisy Zimmerman Greene. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Brooks Greene of Murfreesboro, NC; his children, Tracy Greene Lee (Maurice) of Knightdale, NC, Ronda Jackson of Maryland and Alonzo Greene of Newport News, VA; his siblings, Linda D. Melton (John) of National Harbor, MD, Leslie Greene (Wanda) of Ruther Glen, VA, Wilifred Greene (Selma) of Newport News, VA and Rayford Jones (Mary) of Newport News, VA; and his close friend Sharon Pruden. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunters Funeral Home (123 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr N, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (230 US-158 BUS, Murfreesboro, NC 27855).
