She is survived by: her mother Alma Althea Pope Simmons of Hampton, VA; her children, William Flythe of Winton, NC, David Flythe of Winton, NC, Michael Flythe (Melissa) of Universal City, TX and Sherri Flythe of Winton, NC; her brothers, Dennis Simmons (Ophelia) of Murfreesboro, NC and Greg Simmons (Judy) of Rocky Mount, NC; her grandchildren, Davita Flythe, Brian Flythe (Cheyenne), Ashley Thomas (Mike), Omarionne Butler and Jerome Tann; and her aunts, Christine Clark and Willie Mae Delk. She is also survived by two nephews; a host of cousins, other family member and friends.
