He is survived by: his mother Lillian Bottoms Hayes; his son Joseph Hayes, Jr. (Sheri); his granddaughter Olivia Hayes; his daughter Melissa Hayes Hawks (Chris); his godchild Ashley Evans (Kevin); his sisters, Dianne Wichard (Randy), Joyce Gittman (LeRoy) and Nancy Sapp (John); and his grandson Elijah.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wise Baptist Church Cemetery.
