He is survived by: his wife Joyce Deadmon; his sons, Jody Steele (Traci) of Cleveland and Todd Steele (Dannie) of Statesville; his niece Monda Griggs (Rick) of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Clarie Steele (Peter Abee) and Sarah Steele; and his great-niece Morgan Narron (Jake).
