He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jester and Lora Cranfill Jester; his sister Betty Sue Groce; and his grandfather Otis Wade Jester. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Hancock Jester; his children, Dara Puryear (Dale) and Farron Jester (Amy); and his grandchildren, Brayden Puryear (Ragan), Breanna Puryear, Riley Jester and Reagan Jester. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (2401 Nebo Rd, East Bend, NC 27018). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the same location.
