He was predeceased by : his father Eugene Gwyn Phillips, Jr.; his wife Patricia Phillips; and his sister Peggy Carter. He is survived by : his mother Ruth Reece Phillips of Greensboro; his daughter Nikki Johnson (Chas) of Ronda; his brother-in-law Gary Carter of Jonesville; his grandchildren, Sydney Johnson and Jacob Johnson; and his niece Melissa Carter Cato of Greensboro.
