She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Glenn and Nadie Shore Mathis; her husband Oscar Coolidge Hensdale; and her siblings, Noah Raeford Mathis, Santford Sherwin Mathis, Norris Dale Mathis, Nadie Marilyn Mathis (Tootsie), Reata Robena Mathis Bryant, Virginia Mae Mathis Messick and Wilma Kathryn Mathis (Polly).
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Wayne Hensdale and Wanda Jayne Hensdale; her siblings, Glenn Cloyce Mathis (Bill), Clarris Dean Mathis Collins and Audrey Mathis Hobson (Sizemore); and her stepchildren, Janice Riggins Crow, Donald Riggins, Mona Riggins and Charles Riggins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville (5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
