With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Ray of Yadkinville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam Ray and Myrtle Myers Ray; his wife Frances "Fran" Ray; his brother Larry Ray; and his daughter-in-law Dorothy "Dottie" V. Ray.

He is survived by : his sons, Johnny Ray and David Ray; his close friend Elizabeth Hiatt; his grandchildren, Dylan Ray and Lindsay Ray; his stepgranddaughters, Jennifer White (Seth), Erica Ikner (Travis) and Samantha Gesford (Micah); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Briley White, Willow White and Sydney Ikner; his sister Sue Ray Norman (David); and his nieces and nephews, Amber Koll (Jerry), Amy Norman, Brian Ray and Michael Ray (Sarah).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Maplewood Baptist Church Building Fund, Parkinsons Foundation, or to a charity of the Donor's choice.
