He is survived by: his significant other Sarah Ann Poteat Ledet; his children, Ja'Shon Chism of Shreveport, Sa'Barron Chism Solomon (Jaykedrict) of Houston Texas, John Haley, Nikah Ledet, Hiram Ledet and Ken Ledet of Virginia; his siblings, Jo Ann Ledet Cooks of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Cynthia Ledet of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sylvia Ledet Goody (Oscar) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kelly Ledet of Iowa and Nathaniel Ledet, Sr. (Jacqueline) of West Lake, Louisiana; his siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Poteat Plato of Raleigh, Paul Poteat (Faye) of Mesquite, David Thomas "Tom" Carver of Burlington and John Poteat (Margaret); his caregiver Barbara Bailey; and his close friends, Travis Archible, Norman Eatmon and Chris Benjamin. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other loving relatives; and his furry companion and friend.
