He is survived by: his children, Savannah Hardin of Pelham, Connie Clark of Mt. Vernon, Betty Turner of Danville, Virginia, Helen Turner of Danville, Virginia, Linda Woods of Danville, Virginia, Weldon Short of Raleigh, Charlie Albert Short of New York, Bobby Lewis Turner of Green Level, John Turner of Wilkesboro, Greg Turner of Durham and Henry Turner of Liberty; and his friend Helen Turner of Yanceyville. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
