He was predeceased by : his wife Peggy Roberts Chalk; his parents, Luther Chalk and Katie Wagstaff Chalk; his siblings, Roger Chalk, Bobby Chalk and Maidie May; and his nephews, Randy May, Bobby Lynn Chalk, Ray Chalk and Wayne Chalk.
He is survived by : his nieces and nephews, Vickie Williams (Bobby) of Dunn, Judy Byrd (William) of Wake Forest, Darrell Chalk of Franklinton and Terry May (HaiSun) of Arlington, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Philip Roberts of Louisburg and Shelby Jean Hill of North Wilkesboro, NC..
