He was predeceased by : his parents, Anne Elizabeth Hall Brumfield and Norman Isaac Brumfield; and his wife Robyn G. Brumfield. He is survived by : his children, Shannon L. Stephens (Ronnie) of Chesapeake, VA, Christina L. Amendolare (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle B. Etheridge (Frank) of Rocky Mount, NC and David I. G. Brumfield (Jackie Eskew) of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Audrey "Summer" Barnes, Anthony "Tony" M. Amendolare, Carson Hall Etheridge, David L. J. Brumfield, Madison A. Brumfield and Kathryn Lee Brumfield; and his brother Robert (I. Lee Brumfield). He is also survived by two nephews and a niece.
