Lou Ann Shepherd Obituary

Lou Ann Shepherd, 70, of Youngsville passed away at her home on Thursday, August 14, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1954 in Durham County, NC to the late Lester and Doris Porter Matte.

Lou Ann is survived by her husband, John Shepherd, her brother Lester Matte (Charlene), and her nieces and nephews, Caleb Matte, Heaven Matte and Nayzell Matte.

Lou Ann worked as an administrative specialist. She was married to her husband John for 42 years. In her earlier years, Lou Ann loved to sew and make clothing, and go hiking. She loved cats and had many over the years. She enjoyed studying the Bible, and especially learning the historical significance. Lou Ann enjoyed watching sci-fi movies and shows with her husband. She will missed tremendously by her family and friends.

Per Lou Ann's wishes, no service will be held.
