He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurston Carlson and Catherine Carlson; and his sisters, Ingra and Diane. He is survived by: his wife Charleen Carlson; his children, Tammy Layne (Allan) of Texas, Greg Carlson of Melbourne, FL, April Holden (Dave) of Clayton, NC, Matt Carlson (Deah) of Hudson, FL and Adam Carlson (Krista) of Franklinton, NC; and his sister Colleen Hobbs (Nelson) of Mebane, NC. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Franklinton Baptist Church (102 W Mason St, Franklinton, NC 27525).
