He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Thomas Dean and Annie Pearl Richardson; and his aunt Elgie Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Kay Rogers Dean; his daughter Dawn Yates (Matt); his stepdaughters, Krista Johnson and Missy Dodrill (Dan); his grandchildren, Jacob and Caroline Yates; his stepgrandchildren, Cody Johnson, Jared and Sarah Dodrill; and his sister Sue Sledge (George). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Blessings Box at New Hope Christian Church.
