Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Bishop George leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his wife Lady Gloria Horton; and his siblings, Mattie Crudup of Ft. Washington, MD, Peggie Hines of Wendell, Edna Goodson (Charlie B. Goodson) of Eagle Rock and Romas Horton (Geraldine Fox Horton) of Rocky Mount, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John United Holy Church (3201 Jack Mitchell Rd, Zebulon, NC 27597). Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Victory Tabernacle Church (1329 US-70, Raleigh, NC 27603).
