She was predeceased by : her parents, Fransico Matos and Damaza Melendez; her husband Barry Donald English; and her siblings, Hector Matos and Catherine Serrano.
She is survived by : her daughter Renee Yancy Carpenter; her son-in-law Eric Carpenter of Raleigh; her siblings, Louis Matos of Belleview Florida, Angelo Matos of Tucson Arizona, Emilio Matos and Margaret Sanchez; her grandchildren, Paris Anna Carpenter and Melik Richard Carpenter of Raleigh; and her nieces and nephews, Cathy, Anita, Georgina, Tara, Alexandra, Jennifer, Gina, Ferando, Ramon (Muncho) and Louis Jr..
