He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Boyd and Mattie Mae Jackson; and his sisters, Carolyn Anne Freeman and June "Cookie" Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Mayfield Boyd; his daughters, Bridgette Carroll (Shannon Storm) and Angel Boyd (Gary Driver); his grandchildren, Alexandria Ruth Carroll, Nickie Jay Carroll, Bladen Scott Johnson and Presley James Johnson; and his siblings, Carlton "Butch" Boyd (Patricia), William "Nick" Boyd (Shirley), Dorothy "Dot" Faulkner (Barry), Wayne Boyd (Donna) and Scarlett Taylor (Eric). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
