He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Dunston and Lizzie Mae Dunston; his son Stanley Dunston (Kari) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Danielle Boone of Raleigh, LaKaila Dunston of Lawrenceville, Hannah Dunston of Lawrenceville and Zoe Dunston of Lawrenceville, Georgia.; and his siblings, Esther Mae Dunston of Spring Hope, Minnie Lee Deans (Otto) of Spring Hope, Joe Dunston (Avon) of Spring Hope and Michael Dunston (Linda) of Spring Hope. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
