We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2023, at the age of 90, Lovie Puryear of Zebulon, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Julius L. Blackley and Gladys Bunn Blackley; her son Robert P. Pearce, Jr.; her husband S. Maynard Puryear; her siblings, Florence Blackley, J. Lawrence Blackley, Wilbur E Blackley, Lillian B. Pearce, Elsie B Suppes, Estelle B. Baker and Tillie B Puryear; and her stepson Donald Puryear.

She is survived by : her children, Danny L. Pearce (Ophelia) of Lake Royale and Marie P Hinton (John) of Middlesex; her sister Faye B. Pearce of Zebulon; her stepson Fred Puryear (Angela); her grandchildren, Katina Jenkins, Jason Pearce (Amy), Jeremy Pearce, David Daniel (Julianne) and Matthew Hinton; her great grandchildren, Austin Pearce, Justin Pearce, Presley Hinton, Harper Hinton and Christopher Daniel; and her caregiver DJ Deem. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
