With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Smith Nelson of Zebulon, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Smith and Beatrice Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Darren and Bryan; her husband Rex Nelson; her sons, Daniel (Tammie) and Denny (Naomi); her granddaughters, Maya, Cara and Vallie; and her siblings, Linda Herring and Jeff Smith.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the Edwards Funeral Home & Cremations (702 N Queen St, Kinston, NC 28501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
