She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence LaNelle Kees and William Henry Jones; her husband Nathan Eugene Ard; and her grandson Noah Thomas Coombs. She is survived by: her children, John Floyd Swilley (Laurel), Elizabeth LaNelle Sheridan (Pete), Kim Louise Edwards (Jerry) and Jean Carolyn Coombs (Jeff); her stepson Nathan Eugene Ard Jr.; and her sisters, Vicki Barber (Danny) and Debbe Bowman. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1392 48th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (809 W Gannon Ave, Zebulon, NC 27597).
