Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Roark and Bonnie Roark; and his sister Emma Roten. He is survived by: his siblings, Doris Cannon of Creston, NC, Bonnie Sue Persinger (Mark) of Granite Falls, NC and Kenneth Roark Jr. of Greeneville, TN; and his close friends, Barney Mahala and Sandra Osborne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and many other friends.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery (1926 Rock Fence Rd, Creston, NC 28615).
