With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lee May of Zirconia, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy C. May and Martha M. May; and his wife Margaret May (Crowle). He is survived by: his brother Roy May (Dinah); his nieces and nephews, Sherri Spring (Jim) of Jackson, MI, Richard II May (Weatherly) of Asheville, NC, Michaellyn Pasztor (Endre) of Black Mountain, NC and Derek May (Margie) of Easley, SC; and his grandchildren, Jamie Craft, Justin May, Thomas, Jacob Reed, Nicholas, Kyle and Sydney May. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish, may make memorial contributions in Richard's memory can make them to Medi Home Hospice.
