She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Hakes and Kathryn Hakes (Greene); her son Shane; and her siblings, Ralph Hakes, Sharon Hunt and Dale Hakes.
She is survived by: her children, Desiree Hakes (Joshua Glass) of Minonk, IL and Bill Hurth (Dawn Petska) of Cornell, WI; her grandchildren, Jasmine, Tyler, Chance, Chase and Sophie; her sister Pamela Goss (Gary) of Pharr, TX; and her close friend Roger Steele.
