He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Margaret Schaefbauer (Winter); his siblings, Quentin, Martin, Donald, Verna (Fiest) and Darlene (Glum); his siblings-in-law, Luella, Mary Lou, Andy Feist and Kenneth Glum; and his nephews, Mike, Greg, Andy Jr., Mark Feist and Kent Glum.

He is survived by: his son William Jack "Bill" (Robert Michael) of Arnegard, ND; his granddaughter Jazmin (Ben Cleary) of Plano, TX; his son Robert; his grandson Riley of New Brighton, MN; and his brothers, Leo (Sandy) of Black Diamond, WA, Clarence (Corlis) of Bismarck, ND and Charles (Joan) of Mandan, ND. He is also survived by 29 nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice in Mike's name.
