He is survived by: his daughter April Nies (Jeremy Arlien) of Ashley; his siblings, Roger Nies (Gloria) of San Diego, CA, Tim Nies (Jill) of Grand Forks, ND, Rosella Hanson (Paul) of Emerado, ND and Connie Barden (Duane) of St. Joseph, MN; and his grandchildren, Anders Arlien and Elowen Arlien.
