He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, Terry Goettle (Sue), James Goettle (Rhonda Piatz) of Ashley, Paul Goettle (Cindy) of Bismarck, ND and Kristie Schnabel (Neil) of Ashley; his daughter-in-law Michelle Goettle of Gwinner, ND; his siblings, Mike Goettle (Jerri) of Coweta, OK, Mary Howard (Steve) of Brandon, SD and Patricia Koester (Tony) of Oroville, CA; his grandchildren, Jen Goettle, Ashley Wisterman, Ashley Hansen and Blaire Schnabel; his great grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Natalie, Dean, Watson and Beckett; and his grandsons, Michael Goettle of Rapid City, SD, Bryce Goettle of Rochester, MN, Nick Goettle of Minneapolis, MN, Tayler Goettle of Fargo, ND, Travis Schnabel, Colin Goettle of Ashley and Dylan Goettle of Gwinner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
