He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna (Willi) and August; his daughter Patricia Johnson; and his brothers, Elmer (Dorothy) and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Fay; his daughters, Val Marsh (Jimmey) of McGregor, MN, Tracy Nelson (Robert) of Mounds View, MN and Sheila Harms of Columbia Heights, MN; his sister Sandra Walstrom (John) of Minneapolis, MN; and his pets, Mocha and James. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
