He was predeceased by: his parents, Freida (Schweigert) and Helmuth Pfeifle; his wife Lucille Gross of Luke's Lutheran Church; his daughter Darcie Shannon; his sister Shirley Rohrbach; his grandson Bradley Heinrich; and his close friend Gladys Braun.
He is survived by: his children, Gail McDaniel of Ashley, Twila Van Boven (Gerrit) of Linton and Michael Pfeifle (Linda) of Ashley; and his sisters, Virginia Schnabel of Ashley and Rita Ost (Jim) of Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlsen-Lien Chapel - Ashley (210 W Main St, Ashley, ND 58413). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (112 1st St SE, Ashley, ND 58413).
