With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine E. Volochenko of Balfour, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by : her son Mark; her parents, Emanuel Jesz and Katherine Jesz; her siblings, Melvin Jesz, Clarence Jesz and Evengeline Willows; and her siblings-in-law, Violet Jesz and Richard Petersen.

She is survived by : her husband Peter Volochenko; her sons, Jim (Barb) and Kelly (Pam) of Balfour, ND; her grandchildren, Dustin Volochenko (Natasha), Amanda Presser (Lucas), Kaitlyn Bopp (Peter), Karley Volochenko and Kenzie Volochenko; her great grandchildren, Leah, Lani, Drew and James Volochenko; and her siblings, Welford Jesz (Donna), Ernie Jesz (Ruth) and Charlotte Petersen.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (1520 Advent St, Harvey, ND 58341). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at the Kief Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Kief Community Cemetery Association: 246 33rd Street NE Balfour, ND 58712.
