It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Richard Van Vleet of Beach, North Dakota, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey VanVleet and Una VanVleet (Murphy); his brother Robert; his son Shawn; and his grandchildren, Lauren and Robbie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Sara Goroski (Gerard), Jeanne Ray, Tonia Glass (Greg), Teresa VanVleet, Curt (Sharon), Dwayne (Wanda) and Dean (Jackee); and his stepsons, Allan Dunbar (Tara), Tony Dunbar (Molly) and Jason Dunbar (Tracy). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (162 2nd Ave NE, Beach, ND 58621).
