He was predeceased by: his parents, John Slater and Mary Slater (McGillis); his wife Mary Ann Slater (Gourneau); his siblings, Francis Slater, William Slater (Bill), Lawrence Slater (Peteson), Elise Slater, Eleanor Bober (Slater) and Albina Slater; and his children, Sandy Slater and Baby Boy Slater.
He is survived by: his pet Prince; his daughters, Brenda Slater and LouAnn Slater; his grandchildren, Shannon Hajicek, Mark Hajicek, Marshall Allery, Eddie Joe Allery, Jodi Hajicek, Austin Jeannotte and Travis Slater; his godchildren, Clayton Slater, Charles Blue Sr., Anna LaFountain and Ellie Halverson; his sister Fostina; his godchildren, Jodi Hajicek and Shelly Ann Slater; Ryhlin. He is also survived by his 17 great grandchildren.
