We announce the death of Sharon Marie Ballow of Belcourt, North Dakota, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 85. Sharon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Emily Gourneau (Brunelle); her siblings, Frank, Larry, Stanley, Timmy, Andrew, Judy and Ann Mae; her grandchildren, Rory Davis and Izayis Lilly; and her godchildren, Dave Gourneau and Janelle Gourneau.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Gourneau (Bonnie) of Grand Forks, Peggy Ballow of Texas, Tammy Ballow (EJ Lambert) of Belcourt, Renee Boswell (Greg) of Belcourt, Lisa Ballow-Bruce of Dunseith and Jennifer Schmidt of Alexandria, MN; and her siblings, Lee Gourneau (Alfreda) of Belcourt, Carol Gourneau of Belcourt and Della Rose Sample of Milwaukee, WI. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
