He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cox and Theresa Cox (Zahn); his sons, Michael and Patrick; and his siblings, Avery, Douglas, Malon, Francis Schnieder, Nada Cox and Monica Swiontek.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Kania of Raphael's Catholic Church; his children, Cynthia Maley (Ron), Robert Cox (Christina) of Berlin and Mark Cox (Roxanne) of Berlin; and his siblings, Thomas Cox (Kerma) of Custer, SD, Lola Schwind (Harley) of Bismarck, ND, Eva Gross of Spearfish, SD and Ruth Metzinger (Terry) of Ipswich, SD. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 godchildren.
