She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Herman and Dorothy Herman (Shelby); her siblings, Dale and Lora; her uncles, Dale Fraser and Jerry Fraser; Lori Jean (Candyce).
She is survived by: her husband Ervin Schantz; her children, Travis and Yve Olien (Shawn); her uncle Ervin Herman (Darla); her aunt Donna Herman; and her close friends, Sonia Ozbun and Judy Schaff. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She then continued her career at Dakota Foundation, remaining there until her retirement.
