We announce the death of Daryl Pennington of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 87. Daryl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Pennington; his parents, Leonard Pennington and Virginia Pennington; his parents-in-law, Otto and Bertha Elhard; his siblings, Virgil Pennington and Marcene (Kyle); and his brother-in-law Lamar Kyle.
He is survived by: his children, Gwen Marlow, Mark Pennington (Terijo), Tim Pennington (Jody), Bruce Pennington (Heather) and Paul Pennington (Melissa); his grandchildren, Kimberly Hanson (Evan), Kevin Marlow (Shanna), Kayla Pennington, Becca Nelson (Ian), Chris Pennington, Elizabeth Pennington, Marshall Pennington, Tanner Pennington (Rusalyn), Taylor Pennington (Shay) and Trevor Pennington (Paige); his great grandchildren, Westley, Reagan Hanson, Aysia Tran, Lexie Marlow, Addy, Eva, Sadie Pennington, Ensley Nelson, Aurora and Teagan Pennington; his sister Carmen; his brother-in-law Floyd Lien; his brother Galen; his sister-in-law Deb Pennington; his brother Brian; and his siblings-in-law, Gay Pennington, Thelma and Carl Kvanvig.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Capital Church (3838 Jericho Rd, Bismarck, ND 58503). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
