It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas E. Gleich (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on February 24, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gleich and Shirlee Gleich; and his sister Merry Heckmann. He is survived by: his daughter Lindsay Thornton (Clinton); his brother-in-law Roger Heckmann; and his nephews, Keith Heckmann (Cassie), Brian Heckmann and Bobby Heckmann (Dawn).

Doug was a very talented musician singing with a beautiful voice and playing his keyboard for many special events. Even though he lost his path in the wrong direction for a period of time he turned it around and was a compassionate and special friend. The last few years of his life he had many serious medical issues that he addressed with determination. Rest In Peace!!!”
