He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Becky Dunker (Scott) of Casselton, ND, Lonny Hertel (Bridget) of Bismarck, ND and Paul Hertel (Tia) of Pierre, SD; his grandchildren, Cason (Erin), Camry and Seneca; his stepgranddaughter Hannah; his great grandchild Navy; and his sister Delia Harsche.
