She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schmitt and Rosalia Schmitt (Kempf); her husband Willis Demke; her daughter Susan Demke Blaney; her daughter-in-law Candace Demke (Walby); her grandson David Albert; and her great grandchildren, Ariel, Elijah and Elise.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Demke (Denise Nelsen) and Dave Demke (Caley Milliken); her granddaughters, Sarah Olson (Derek) and Amy Peterson (Brad); her great grandchildren, Kaia, Ariana and Theodore; and her great great grandchild Bailey.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (106 Osage Ave, Bismarck, ND 58501).
Memorial donations may be made in Gladys's name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Faith Lutheran Church and Lutheran World Relief.
