He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Peterson and Caroline Peterson (Bentz); his brother Roger Peterson; and his brother-in-law Bill Reinthaler. He is survived by: his wife Sheila (Miedema); his daughter Lisa Lund (Sean); his grandson Dylan Lund (Kenzie Reisenauer); his great grandchild Kaelo Lund; his stepdaughter Debi Hall (Vern) of Kodiak; his sister Bernice Reinthaler of Clinton, Ill.; his sister-in-law Gwynne Peterson of Granger, Ind.; Diane Peterson of Santa Fe, N. M. and LaRae Miedema. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Over the years, he was an active member and fundraiser for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Delta Waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.
