He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W. Thurn and Rosina Kemmet. He is survived by: his children, Clark Thurn (Claudia), Cheryl Rockvoy (Duane) and Clarice Lancaster (Troy); and his grandchildren, Courtney Ross (Tyler), Chelsey Gronewald (Ashton), Cassie Bethke, Mitchell Lancaster (Claire) and Taylor Lancaster. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (106 Osage Ave, Bismarck, ND 58501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
