It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Illa Mae Melech (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on July 17, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fischer and Mamie Fischer (Clark); and her brother Charles Fischer. She is survived by: her husband William Melech; her children, William Jr., Therese Smith (William), Joseph Melech (Monica), Mary Melech, Thomas Melech, Jeanne Stone, Maureen Schelinder (Ralph) and John Melech (Tara); and her sister Frances Klein. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
