It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irving Duane Cook (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Cook and Christine Cook (Blazek); his wife Rose Mary (Schaner); his sister Rosemary Burtts; his sibling's children, Robert Burtts and Katherine Burtts; his niece-in-law Debra Burtts; his parents-in-law, Leo and Frances Schaner; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Oster and Alfred Beehler.

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Cook (Virginia) of Bismarck and Rosemary Burtts'; Larry, David, Daniel, Lena, Helen, Viola, Lloyd, Darlene and Gloria.

If friends and family of Duane would like to come to the graveside service, the family asks that they remain inside their vehicles for the health and safety of others due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

“I am saddened today to read that my friend is no longer in our lives. However, I am greatly blessed to have known him and his precious soulmate Rosemary. My office was near his booth for 20 years and I saw him when he moved to 7th st as well. We always had a lot of laughs vising about $, vehicles,etc. I'm sorry that I haven't seen him often lately. I sure would have liked to have spent some time with Duane as he was cared for in his final months.”
