He is survived by: his son Jeffrey (Cathy); his wife Wilma Backer; his children, Cynthia Eckroth (Randy) and Gregory McIntyre (Peggy Ziegler); and his grandchildren, Breann McIntyre (Nikki), Kyle Eckroth, Jesse Eckroth, William McIntyre (Amber), Joe Zimney (Lucy), Dusty Zimny (Alesha), Shannon Zimney (Sherri) and Savannah Arnot (James). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
