He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lloyd Clifford Liken and Dorothy Deel Brown; his wife Gloria Jean Houghtaling of Doland; his daughter Lisa Liken Monroe (Chad); his pets, Jerry and Nacho; and his brother Larry Liken.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the McCabe United Methodist Church (1030 N 6th St, Bismarck, ND 58501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
